Admission and Application Process

For lengthier courses, a confirmation of registration with a maximum duration of 90 days is required to enter the country for a tourist visa to be obtained at the border. Once the course has begun, the student must apply for a visa extension, or for an exchange for the LONG STAY “D” student visa, which is valid for a maximum of 365 days. If there is no Malta Consulate in the student's home country, this visa can only be obtained in Malta. Malta student visas are valid for courses lasting longer than three months. However, within Malta, the same must be requested. It is critical to understand that the student must study for at least 15 hours every week. If the course is longer than 90 days, international students can study and work in Malta. From the 13th week onwards, English students in Malta are permitted to work. The student can acquire a job and apply for a work permit after the extended visa is accepted in Malta. The student is legally permitted to work 20 hours a week. The hourly minimum salary is around EUR4.60. To apply for a visa extension, the student must personally go to Malta's visa centre, the Central Visa Unit. It is suggested that the student request a course extension during the first two weeks of their arrival in the nation. Payment of the 66.00 Euro application cost for this visa (It might change). Submission of the following documents is required

For each month of stay, the sum shown must match to 75% of Malta's minimum wage.
